Sweet Candy Company, one of America's oldest family-owned confectioners, began its sugary journey in Portland, Oregon, in 1892, founded by Leon Sweet. The company relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1900, merging with smaller confectioners to expand its reach. Renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation, Sweet Candy Company became known for developing new methods, such as Leon Jack Sweet's 1936 egg white saltwater taffy process. Today, still family-operated through five generations, they produce a diverse array of beloved treats, including their famous chocolate-covered orange sticks, cinnamon bears, and an extensive line of saltwater taffy, distributed globally from their state-of-the-art facility.
