Sunrise Confections, Founded in 1941 in Melbourne, Australia, by Julius Lighton and Walter Eger (and later Rudi Moser), Sunrise Confectioners was a prominent Australian candy maker. They produced a variety of sweets, and famously, in 1992, they founded The Natural Confectionery Co. as an umbrella brand for products with no artificial colors or flavors. In 2003, The Natural Confectionery Co. (and thus, Sunrise Confectioners) was acquired by Cadbury Schweppes, which later became part of Mondelēz International. While the "Sunrise Confectioners" name might not be actively used for new products today, its legacy lives on through The Natural Confectionery Co
