R.M. Palmer Company, founded by Richard M. Palmer, Sr. in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, in 1948, became one of America's largest seasonal confectioners. Starting with just four products, including the iconic hollow chocolate "Baby Binks" bunny, the company quickly grew its novelty business, which was initially centered around Easter. Palmer was an innovator, holding patents for unique designs and introducing new flavor combinations like Double Crisp—a chocolate and rice crispies blend—to the seasonal candy market in the 1970s, making holiday candy fun with whimsical shapes and bright packaging.
