Marpro

Marpro, or Marshmallow Products, has a unique and humble history rooted in the Great Depression. Founded in 1936 by John V. Arbino, a Cincinnati tailor, the company's origin story is built on the observation that even in tough times, people always had a few pennies for candy. Arbino began making marshmallow treats at night, selling them on consignment to local grocery stores from the trunk of his car. The company's focus eventually narrowed to its most famous product: the Marpo Marshmallow Ice Cream Cone, a treat that has delighted generations with its unique texture and nostalgic flavor.
