Leaf Candy roots trace back to the 1920s in Chicago. Founded by Sol S. Leaf, the company grew through various mergers and acquisitions, becoming Leaf Brands in 1947. Over the decades, it became a major player in the confectionery industry, responsible for beloved classics like Whoppers, Jolly Rancher, Milk Duds, and Rain-Blo bubble gum. By the 1990s, Leaf was among the top candy producers globally. While its North American operations were eventually acquired by Hershey, the Leaf name was revived in 2011, bringing back many nostalgic favorites and continuing a legacy of sweet innovation.
