Goetze's Candy Company is located in Baltimore, Maryland, dating back to 1895. Founded by August Goetze and his son William as the Baltimore Chewing Gum Company, their journey into iconic caramels began in 1917 with the development of a soft caramel candy known as "Chu-ees." This soon evolved into their signature creation, Caramel Creams, aka "Bull's Eyes" featuring a chewy caramel exterior and a creamy center. Goetze's pivoted entirely to caramel production in the 1940s and remains a family-owned and operated business, now in its sixth generation, upholding traditions like the original vanilla cream recipe introduced in 1918.
