Concord Confections, established in 1986 with facilities in Concord, Ontario, Canada, became a prominent name in the confectionery market. Their significant claim to fame came in 1998 when they acquired the iconic Dubble Bubble gum from Fleer Corporation, a brand with a rich history dating back to its invention by Walter Diemer in 1928 as the world's first bubble gum. This acquisition expanded Concord's product breadth and market reach. In 2004, Concord Confections itself was acquired by Tootsie Roll Industries, further solidifying its position within the broader candy landscape. Today, operating as a division of Tootsie Roll of Canada ULC, Concord Confections continues to be renowned for its diverse product line and benchmark quality.
