Boyer Candies began during the Great Depression when brothers Bill and Bob Boyer started making and selling candy door-to-door from their Altoona, Pennsylvania kitchen in 1936 to help their family. Their mother and sister hand-wrapped the initial fudge and nut raisin clusters. Experimenting with chocolate-covered marshmallow led to their iconic Mallo Cup, which quickly became a sensation. Notably, Boyer was a trailblazer, being among the first companies in the US to produce a "cup" candy. Today, Boyer continues to produce their beloved Mallo Cups and other treats, maintaining a legacy of innovation and family-driven confectionery.
