Albanese Candy, established in 1983 by Scott Albanese, has grown from a local Indiana candy distributor into a globally recognized name, renowned for what many consider "the world's best gummies." Initially, Scott focused on selling bulk candy and freshly roasted nuts. However, his innovative spirit led him to perfect the art of gummy candy making. A significant breakthrough came in 1998, when Albanese developed new technology for enhanced flavor release from gelatin, transforming the industry's approach to gummy production. This innovation paved the way for their wildly popular 12 Flavor Gummi Bears and other true-to-fruit confections, solidifying Albanese's reputation for superior taste and texture, often identifiable by the distinctive "A" on the belly of their gummy bears.
