Kimmie Candy was established in 2000 by third-generation farmer Joe Dutra in Sacramento, California. Born from an initial purchase of 40,000 pounds of chocolate-covered sunflower kernels, the company quickly found success, with its unique ChocoRocks winning the prestigious "Product of the Year" at the Candy Grammys in 2003. Dedicated to creating American jobs, Dutra relocated the entire manufacturing operation from overseas to Reno, Nevada, in 2005. Today, Kimmie Candy proudly labels its products "Made in America," having grown from seven employees to a state-of-the-art facility serving global markets.
