Cavalier Candies

Cavalier Candies Ltd. traces its roots to 1922, beginning as Bond and Ronald, a confectionery manufacturer in Winnipeg, Manitoba. For years, the company's signature product was the labor-intensive fruit slice, a jelly candy originally made from imported agar seaweed strips, which provided a superior flavor base. In 1967, after Charles Fletcher bought and expanded the business, he split it into two entities, with Cavalier Candies focusing on sugar confectionery manufacturing. Today, the Canadian company is known as North America's largest producer of agar-based fruit slices, proudly maintaining its heritage of quality, Kosher-certified, peanut/nut-free confections.
