The first time I tried Salt Water Taffy was on the Wildwood boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ.  My brother and I would watch through the window of the candy shop where a taffy machine would pull the taffy.  Our parents would buy us a small box of this wonderful taffy and we would eat it over the next month.  We would take our time savoring every piece.
