I was walking around Claremont, CA back in 2009 and walked by a candy store that carried salty licorice.  The person I was with thought I was crazy to try this candy - the person behind the candy counter equally thought I was crazy and almost took my picture to place behind the counter - not really but you get the idea.  This type of candy requires a unique taste.  The shape of this candy is in the form of a diamond and the licorice is imported from Holland.  If you ever visit the Los Angeles area and crave a bit of East coast architecture then take the time to visit this city.
