My first taste of salt water taffy was on the boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey.  I still can remember my brother and I pressing our little noses on the windows to one of the shops that created their own taffy!  The taffy pulling machine was right in front of the shop for everyone to see.  We recently moved to the Philadelphia, PA region which is only 2 hours from a New Jersy boardwalk.  Now my kids can enjoy seeing salt water taffy being made right in front of their eyes!
